Further development of distinct lattice spring model for stability and collapse analysis of deep foundation pit excavation

In this work, the distinct lattice spring model (DLSM) is further developed for handling practical geotechnical problems. The Zienkiewicz-Pande (ZP) constitutive implemented into DLSM a better prediction of soil plasticity. beam finite element introduced to simulate supporting structures. birth–death particle method multistage construction. accuracy and stability enriched are verified against both analytical solutions numerical results from well-established commercial software. Following this, applied analyze one actual deep foundation pit construction project, its compared with monitoring data. Finally, preliminary trial on design structure carried out by using DLSM. These applications show that can be an alternative collapse analysis excavation.
